What is FieldSlip?

FieldSlip is a voice-powered task dispatch app designed for small businesses and field service crews. Instead of typing task details on a small screen, you simply speak naturally, and our AI converts your voice into structured, organized tasks that can be assigned to your team members instantly.

How do I create my first task?
  1. Open FieldSlip and sign in with your Google or Apple account
  2. Go to the Templates tab
  3. Create a new template or use the default one
  4. Tap the microphone button on any template
  5. Speak your task details naturally (e.g., "John Smith at 123 Main Street needs AC repair tomorrow morning")
  6. Review the AI-parsed fields and make any corrections
  7. Tap Create Task
What devices and operating systems are supported?

FieldSlip is available on:

  • iOS: iPhone running iOS 15.0 or later
  • Android: Devices running Android 7.0 (API 24) or later

An internet connection is required for voice transcription and real-time sync features.

How does voice-to-task work?

When you record a voice note, FieldSlip:

  1. Records your voice on your device
  2. Sends the audio securely to our servers
  3. Transcribes the audio to text using advanced AI (Groq Whisper)
  4. Parses the transcript to extract task fields (names, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
  5. Returns the structured data for your review

Privacy note: Audio files are processed immediately and are not stored permanently.

Tips for better voice recognition
  • Speak clearly at a normal pace
  • Minimize background noise when recording
  • Spell out unusual names if needed (e.g., "S-M-I-T-H-E")
  • Say numbers clearly (e.g., "one two three Main Street" for 123)
  • Mention field labels for clarity (e.g., "phone number is...")
  • Keep recordings concise - 10-30 seconds is ideal
Why didn't the AI parse my fields correctly?

AI transcription and parsing work best with clear speech and standard formats. If fields aren't parsed correctly:

  • You can manually edit any field before creating the task
  • Try being more explicit (e.g., "The customer name is John Smith")
  • Ensure your template fields match the information you're providing
  • Check for background noise that might affect transcription
Is my voice data stored?

No. Audio recordings are processed immediately for transcription and then deleted. Only the resulting text transcript and extracted task data are stored. See our Privacy Policy for complete details.

Team Management

Working with Your Team

How do I invite team members?
  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Tap Team Management
  3. Tap Invite Member
  4. Share the QR code with your team member
  5. They scan the code with their FieldSlip app to join your team

Team members must have FieldSlip installed to scan the invite code.

What's the difference between Admin and Tasker roles?
  • Admin/Owner: Can create templates, create and assign tasks, manage team members, and access all features
  • Tasker: Can view tasks assigned to them, update task status, and add comments
How many team members can I have?
  • Free plan: Just yourself (no additional team members)
  • Pro plan: Up to 5 team members
  • Team plan: Unlimited team members

  • Pro Monthly: $9.99/month - Unlimited templates & tasks, up to 5 team members

  • Team Monthly: $29.99/month - Unlimited everything, priority support
  • Team Yearly: $299.99/year - Same as Team Monthly, save ~17%
How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store:

iOS:

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find FieldSlip and tap Cancel Subscription

Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store
  2. Tap the menu icon and select Subscriptions
  3. Find FieldSlip and tap Cancel

You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not directly by us. Please contact:

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
  1. Install FieldSlip on your new device
  2. Sign in with the same account you used before
  3. Go to Settings in the app
  4. Tap Restore Purchases

Your subscription will be restored automatically if you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

The app says I'm offline

FieldSlip requires an internet connection for voice transcription and real-time sync. Try:

  • Check your Wi-Fi or cellular connection
  • Toggle airplane mode on and off
  • Restart the app
  • Check if other apps can connect to the internet
Push notifications aren't working

iOS:

  1. Go to Settings > Notifications > FieldSlip
  2. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is enabled
  3. Check that alerts, sounds, and badges are enabled

Android:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > FieldSlip > Notifications
  2. Ensure notifications are enabled
  3. Check battery optimization isn't blocking notifications
The microphone permission was denied

To enable microphone access:

iOS: Settings > FieldSlip > Microphone > Enable

Android: Settings > Apps > FieldSlip > Permissions > Microphone > Allow

  • Your device model and OS version (e.g., iPhone 14, iOS 17.2)
  • FieldSlip app version (found in Settings)
