Voice Recording and AI Processing

FieldSlip's core feature converts your voice recordings into structured task data. Here's how we handle audio:

• Audio is recorded locally on your device when you tap the record button
• Recordings are transmitted securely (HTTPS) to our servers for processing
• Audio is sent to Groq API for transcription into text
• The transcript is processed by AI to extract task fields
• Audio files are not permanently stored - they are deleted immediately after processing
• Only the resulting text transcript and extracted task data are retained

Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Task Data: Retained while your account is active or until you delete individual tasks
• Audio Recordings: Processed immediately and not permanently stored
• Usage Analytics: Retained in aggregate form for up to 24 months

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

• All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS
• Data stored in Firebase is encrypted at rest
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We regularly review and update our security practices
